Rugged Protection for iPhone Abuse!

This case was for my husband who needed this extra protection for his iPhone. On this second one with a new iPhone along with the iPad version, Otterbox Defender is the ultimate heavy-duty protection. Stylish? Not very feminine to say the least, but very handsome for a man. Protect your phone

I am confident that the otterbox defender will protect my iphone XR. As part of the sturdy rubber case that should provide excellent protection from drops and collisions, there is a cover for the charging port. I have twice had to remove lint that had accumulated in the port because I kept the phone in my pocket which evidently has lint in it. The otterbox will provide protection against that inconvenience. The only problem is that in contrast to my previous otterbox that I had been using, this one required taking it apart rather than just snapping the phone in. This case is designed like other OtterBox cases, a hard plastic skeleton wrapped with a softer silicone outside. The exterior has little grippy things on it that allow you to keep a hold of the phone. That said, I've dropped my phones many times over the years and have yet to break a screen or rear glass (on the phones that had glass on the back).
