Clear sound, compact, and easy to use
The sound on the Olympus J300 Pearlcorder is clearer and has less background noise than some digital recorders. It has all the features that you need to record anything you wish. Although it doesn't have the telephone connector or microphone, these can still be found if you need them.There is a counter to keep track of your recordings, just be careful not to accidentally reset it.
The only downside for me was the stiffness of the rewind/fast forward switch. I have problems with my thumbs so I found this a problem, but I shouldn't think that it would be a problem to those without thumb issues.

The recorder is in excellent condition and works, however the micro cassette is not standard size and therefore means that standard transcription machines cannot use it !! 😠
