Wakes up instantly!

I have bought several Olympus voice recorders for keeping 'to-do lists'. Olympus is better that others because it wakes us instantly when you push the record button. Other brands have to have the record button pushed a couple of times....and sometimes they still don't wake. So that message doesn't get recorded.Read full review

Both of them are nice

The Olympus VN-4100PC is a great recorder, I like it because its for computer use too and the sound is great. The Olympus VN-5000 is really nice, it is not made for PC but the sound from it is real great. I did buy a 3ft - 3.5mm Male to Male Mono Audio Patch Cable Cord 1/8" TS Plug Mic Microphone to plug the recorder to the PC, I can now get the sound from the recorder to the PC. VN4100 recorder

Great product for capturing paranormal EVP. This one is in good shape except for there seems to be a short or something on the headphone connector. I can make headphones work but I hafta play around with the connector when I plug it in to get it to play thru headphones.
