Getting a so-so signal from my analog aerial (yes i know it needs changing) so invested in one of these. It does improve gain and i now receive my full quota of channels. Its small and unintrusive and has its own power lead rather than plug in types. Happily powers 2 receivers!

Lacking cables or instructions as to what cables you need so very confusing to set up
I am so confused! None of my aerial cables plug directly into this so I'm going to have to buy new cables or adapters in order to get it working. It would be so much better if the cables came with it to save those of us who are easily confused from having a brain explosion. I haven't yet worked out what sort of cables I need, i.e. male/male, male/female etc so wish it stated on the instructions. I’ve recently split off the tv aerial connection in our kitchen to an outbuilding with a 10M aerial lead and the picture was great to start with then it kept cutting out or going fuzzy every now and again. Then I’d lose channels. I thought it was because of loose wires. Then I found this little piece of genius that boosts the signal along the 10M aerial lead. It was the weak connection! Amazing value. Good looking, but didn't work for me.
The signal booster arrived punctually and in good condition. It is compact and stylish. However, I found that the incoming aerial cable needed a female-to-female connector and the one that I had did not make a tight fit with the input to the signal booster. The overall gain of the signal booster was thus poor and I don't think it does the trick.
To avoid this issue, could the signal booster have 2 inputs for coaxial cables : one , male; and the other, female so as to avoid signal loss from extra connectors?Read full review...

Easy solution to problem
Needed to split and amplify ariel signal. Couldn`t be easier. Also bought extension cable for £5.
Plug existing ariel lead into the back of box and then as simple as putting the extension in one socket and the old cable in the other. quick 5 min scan for new channels and unit functioning perfectly. No loss in signal strength.Read full review...
