Warns against basement flooding

I've been concerned about sump pump failure after heavy rains. Home sits low and sump pump may run every 3-5 minutes after strong rains. I'm counting on this sensor to trigger a text and phone call if any water rises above the sump pump pit. You must have an ooma phone system to use the sensor. I pay about $6/month for the home internet phone service, which is the cost of the federal and state taxes. I have only the one sensor. If I used more (security or other water sensors), I would have to subscribe to ooma's Premier service, which would add about $10/month but would include a bunch of other phone features.Read full review

Ooma Water Sensor

Sensor works great when water is present. For me, it took 30-60 seconds to indicate when the probes were inserted in water. Thinking about getting more for the bathrooms also.
