Recently bought this box set after seeing some episodes on TV. Fantastic comedy by 2 veteran performers Ronnie Barker & David Jason. They both run a little corner shop in the middle of a quiet street but the laughs keep coming time after time! Excellent low price for Classic British Comedy Series

Very enjoyable and hilarious comedy series from the 1970's to 1980's with all 4 Series for just £3.49 with superb cast especially Ronnie Baker and David Jason as well as other regulars like Lynda Baron.I rate this very highly and even though the follow up Still Open All Hours of which I have Series 1 and watched a few other episodes from following series online that were available on YouTube and other websites these are very good and funny but in my opinion don't come close to Original Series with the incomparable Ronnie Barker as Arkwright however did appreciate very much the updating to modern times with Still Open All Hours.I have watched 1st Series of Open All Hours and dvd plays very well and even has Pilot Episode broadcast on 25/03/73 on Series 1 dvd of Open All Hours which is simply brilliant.The quality of the Series after watching Series 1 is excellent all things considering that they're over 45 yrs old with Series 1.Looking forward to watching Series 2 to 4 of Open All Hours;bargain price for such a Classic British Comedy Series.Very Highly Recommended.Read full review...

I bought "Open all hours " for several reasons , one of which was Ronnie Barkers ability to make me laugh . Ronnie was a comic genius who could make a certain expression , a speech impedament or even a short phrase into something funny without being offensive

There is nothing I dislike about this product ,
I don't compare this product to others ,Ronnie was unique and saddely missed after his passing . There will never be another Ronnie Barker but there have been others who also have had,or have that special gift to make us laugh and feel good.Read full review...
