This actually works and works well!

This actually sucks hot air from inside your laptop computer, unlike the type you sit your computer on top of which only blow a little air on the bottom of it. It has manual and automatic fan speed settings to control how much cooling is needed. The fan is reasonably quiet, especially on the lower speeds. You can tell it is running but it is not distracting.

The cooling fan on my laptop quit working and it would overheat quickly and shut down. I could not justify a $200+ repair bill but with this inexpensive and clever gadget I am using my laptop normally. Note: Since the Opolar cooler senses the air temperature to adjust its fan speed and my laptop fan does not work at all, I do have to turn the cooler on manually. Automatic mode works if your laptop fan works and blows out some air for the Opolar cooler to sense the temperature of, then it turns on and adjusts its speed as needed.

I have a CPU, GPU and hard drive temperature monitor on my laptop. Without the Opolar cooler the CPU and/or GPU can climb to about 200 degrees F, then the laptop shuts down to protect itself. With the Opolar cooler the CPU and GPU stay between 90-150 degrees F. Hard drive stays around 85-110 degrees F. Temp varies depending on what I am doing and how hard the hardware is working. I do some simple things but also work the graphics and CPU more by watching videos and doing CAD work.

For power you can either use the USB cable that comes with it (standard USB one end, micro on other end) and plug it in to a port on your computer, or, if you don't want to use a computer port you can use a micro USB phone charger instead.

Keeps my laptop COOL!!

The installation of the cooler is easy. But depending on the laptop you have, once you install the cooler, it might block few ports. In my case, the cooler blocks the HDMI port completely. Its just a tiny irritant. I am able to manage that by detaching the fan from the mount and simply slide underneath the laptop while my HDMI cable is still plugged in. Since the laptop air vent is right next to the HDMI port, I don't think there is any alternative cooler that would not cover the port and still function properly. The USB cable is longer than I would ideally like, kind of gets tangled while moving the laptop while the cooler is plugged in. I clipped the OPOLAR onto the side of my gaming laptop covering the exhaust vent. Plugged it into the the USB port and it literally sucked the heat out of my keyboard and machine. Amazing Laptop Cooler

This product is a great value for it's price. It's basically like an external fan for laptop computers, that works amazing. It should fit almost any laptop, and it should not get in the way, despite the bulky size. If you have a overheating laptop, this is a much better buy than those laptop cooling pads (most of them are a waste of money honestly).

The setup is extremely easy, and also has the pieces for a permanent setup (for those who keep their computer in one spot most of the time). Does a great job!!

It does a great job keeping my ASUS ROG cool about 3 to 5 degrees Celsius cooler. However it is kinda big and awkward on the side of the laptop but when it's just on the desk while I'm working it looks good . It can be loud when it is turned all the way up also. I wish it was more in the $15 range. Keep working on its development make it a bit smaller and quieter and it can be a game changer. Up to 10c degrees reduction in laptop internal temps.

Recieved on time and in brand new condition. Works great, with the several options for mounting to just about any laptop ( not sure if it will work well on the newer ultra slim laptops ) and is made with high quality parts and design. Use it on my HP G42-475DX notebook PC which the only issue was that it mounted so close to the internet connector it had to be slightly off center of the exhaust vent. It has reduced the overall tempatures of my unit by 10c degrees during low load normal use at the lowest setting to high load use at it's highest setting. At the highest setting it is a bit louder, but for me it's not so much that it's an issue. Using this unit made my cpu stop throttling down it's speed from 2.90 GHz to ,079 GHz. Best little tool you've never heard of

This thing works great... I'm a dj and the program I use is ram heavy so the fan would run on high gear whenever spin for more than an hr or so... Well this would lead to the program freezing and crashing about once or twice a night.... Major mood killer.... Silence is a DJ's worst enemy... Anyway

I saw this online & even though the reviews for it were all pretty good, I was still skeptical... but let me tell you, I'm not anymore! This little thing works wonders ma!

Used it at 2 or 3 gigs (from 3-6 of hrs CONTINUOUS use).... and my program hasn't frozen or crashed ONCE.... A definite worthwhile buy if you want to give your laptop longevity.
