Orange crush 35rt

Clean channel is crystal clear and "Dirty" channel has plenty of punch. Nice blues tones, warm and deep as you'd expect from Orange, with plenty of gain for heavy rock Excellent little amp.

Lots Of Punch

Excellent piece of kit. I bought this to use in my home studio as the emulated headphone out does a great job at making d/i into my DAW sound like a Rocker 50 and 4x12. I have the 120watt 2x12 version also but apart from big gigs and outdoors I mostly use this little fella. 35 watt is perfectly loud enough to cope with a drummer, bass, and vocals, cuts through the mix nicely and the fx loop is brilliant. This amp plays well with pedals. I use stompbox pedal boards or sometimes a rack mount Digitech GSP. It handles either with aplomb. It's got a very good Orange "Voice Of The World" speaker in there too. At rehearsal I stupidly switched the GSP from line to amp without adjusting its volume. Wowsers! Seriously loud feedback. If that had been my elderly Marshall combo the 12" speaker would have exploded. The Orange didn't seem to even notice. It doesn't have the choice of reverbs the big version has, but the digital "spring" reverb is great.
The sound is pure Orange. It's modelled on the Rockerverb and when my Les Paul standard goes through it then I would challenge anyone to tell the difference. Zeppelin type sounds are easily obtained just by rolling back the guitar volume to clean up the gain nicely. In fact the amp response is very valve like. Some clever cascading gain levels in there even give you the tight compression you would get by pushing the front of a valve amp. Blues tones are rich and sonorous. In fact I was just playing a Musicman Cutlass (Strat type guitar) through it and the single coils on that guitar chime beautifully through it. Especially with a good compressor. The clean channel is sparkling and has plenty of headroom although if you push it hard then, just like a valve amp, it starts to break up in a pleasing manner. As I said earlier it's a versatile, great sounding amp with none of the hassles of a valve amp. Eminently giggable and not hernia inducing when loading it into the car. A note of caution though. If you are looking for a bedroom volume practise amp then go for the 20 watt. The 35 even on minimum volume might be a tad loud although there's always that headphone socket!

amazing orange amp buy one Now.

This amp is amazing, from the 1st gig, the quality is 1st class and it feels like it will last forever. the dirty channel cuts through the mix so well, i just use a cheap Superlux PRA-628 into the Pa and it sounds like a Pro Stack. I've even used the loop out direct into the pa too with even better results. i owned loads of amps, orange crush pix 20, Blackstar ht 5r, Marshall code 25, Fender mustang 3 v2 and Line 6 spider 3 30w and Boss Katana 100. this orange c35rt is my go to amp when i need to feel the tone and soul of my music. for me, I'm on a tight budget and this is the entry level amp into the Orange pro amp Club, i can't play if the sound is not right, and this amp is everything you need to be on top form weather is a small gig or big club its got the sound I've been looking of and then some.Read full review...
