Disappointed in the description, based on what I received.

This is strictly mechanical. You turn the dial to the length of time you want and it turns off when it winds down. That's all it does.

You cannot program this to water for a length of time, certain days, or a number of times.

I don't know why they call it an Underground timer because it definitely is not for underground use unless it's in a box. We attach it to the faucet & attach the hose to the other side and set it to water. It sure helps us keep from running the well dry which we formerly did when forgetting to turn the water off. I have only used it for a few day, but it works fine. It has a smooth action when you set the dial. Time will tell if it lasts. Orbit's timers go bad in 12 to 18 months. When they fail, they do not shut off, and a lot of water can be wasted.Read full review
