The ORBY programming is no longer available as of March 1 2021 ....The receivers do make nice over the air receiver tuner boxes with built in TV guide . You can use the dvr to record programing also ...several religious programs and a few other channels have started broadcasting on the Satellite Eutelsat 117 W A that Orby previously used . Currently as of Sept 21 2021 there are 12 free satellite channels . Hopefully in the future there will be more channels available .Read full review

Of course Orby TV is no longer in business, but this is a great dvr . I use to receive over the air digital signals and record tv shows.It interfaces great with my tv and it even shows a tv guide and info on the shows when available. I was an Orby TV customer when they were in business. I am glad to be able to get another receiver.Read full review

Orby receivers no good.

Any orby receivers that was not program while orby was still in business are of no use.
If the orby dvr has been use it can be used to record local channels.
The orby dvr I just purchased is not good for anything. I tried to use my simms card from my orby dvr, but it didn't work.

Works as expected.

This works as expected. It is a basic recording system so if you are used to the Dishnetwork or Direct tv system you may need to slightly lower your expectations. I am VERY happy with it and the Orby service! I got so tired of the crazy high Dishnetwork bills and the endless parade of channels that i had to get just so I could watch the one that was in the package that I wanted.
