paint stripping made easy!

Owatrol Marine Strip is the only product to use to remove layers of paint. It's still a process, sometimes requiring three sessions but the results is way better than any other product or process we have tried... and that's everything! Pricey Paint remover

I have now trued Owatrol twice to remove several layers of paint on my 1980's fibre glass boat. Following the intructions and leaving for the suggested time did not give me the partial paint removal results . Perhaps it is better suited to less old paint removal and certainly in my case to have have used media blasting though far more costly.Read full review

Didn't touch my deck paint

As title.

I used it on non-slip areas of the deck on my boat. It was probably masonry paint. I thought it might struggle to clear it all but it didn't make any impact on it whatsoever.

Not a good product

Its expensive and does not strip paint very well at all. I ended up purchasing a a building trade paint stripper and it was half the price and 25 times more effective

Does what it says on the tin.

Applied and could see it working within minnutes, left on for a good hour as second coat of antifoul was old and stubborn, jet washed off with a domestic jet wash nothing special.
Only had to reapply on small patches but let it to work for over an hour for best results, applied a good coat does not effect gel coat when over treated,

Effective provided you are patient

I am using this to remove a coat of paint from the gel coat on the decks of a dinghy.

It is doing the job provided it is left long enough to work. Thicker areas of paint do need more than one coat.
