Small lock, but very loud.

Needed a small disc lock for a scooter as the pin size on normal disc locks is too big for the holes in a scooter disc. This little lock punches out a massive alarm when disturbed. Advantage over others, is that you can choose whether to arm or not, meaning when not in use, you don’t need to leave the key in. It is also handy that the battery is rechargeable via a usb lead. Oxford disk lock with alarm

Disappointing lock by Oxford. The ideas great with the rechargeable batteries and the compact size but let down by build quality. It feels cheap, its rattley, the locks cluncky and feels like its going to fall apart. I also have a Zena disk alarm-build quality way exceeds the Oxford. I wouldn't buy this overpriced lock again and will steer clear of anything with Oxford written on it in future.Read full review...

Alarmed Disc Lock

Although the lock itself is of grt quality , the lanyard that links to the brake lever is of proportions less then it's needs do suit.

It does no justice to the disc lock and is too short to reach lever, plus a flimsy clip that attaches to the lock , is alike the strength of the metal used for carbonated drinks.

The pros of this lock however , are the fact that it is rechargable and comes with its own tools to access the battery/alarm unit.

The alarm has different chirps , two for when disabled and locked closed for storage and a single chirp for when active.
When lock is placed on disc ,it give a single loud tone ,to let you know it is active.
When alarm is triggered it gives off quite a ear blast and will alert from a fair distance that someone or thing has disturbed your pride and joy.

I would recommend this be used with a more heavy duty anchoring device. All in all worth the money.

Handy deterrent, very loud, keep it in a jacket pocket, recommended

Well made, very loud alarm and versatile due to it's small size, it will also lock onto my rear sprocket which would be harder for a thief to get at, it probably isn't super strong but I dont think that is the point of it, really best to use it while you do a bit of shopping or pop into your local town, that's what I use it for. And it fits easily in a cubby hole under a bike seat or in a jacket pocket, this is the benchmark inexpensive disc lock so dont bother with anything cheaper, and most are priced well under the MRP anyway.Read full review...

Protection for your ‘ped!

Nice compact little disc lock. Small pin to fit scooters and moped discs. Perfect for my Honda Forza NSS125. Whilst it won’t prevent a determined thief for too long, it will undoubtedly put off a casual wheel away opportunist. The alarm is really loud, so will definitely draw unwanted attention to anyone in the process of breaking it off. USB recharge is useful also and only time will tell how long it lasts in salty North Devon. Instructions in pack are worse than useless… so take a look on You Tube for the usage instructions and the setting cycle. Can be used without the siren… so a good idea if there is a chance of it being nudged regularly and you want to remain on terms with your neighbours. There is no case with this lock.. but there is a reminder cord to discourage riding off with it in place… as I did with my last one!!
Small, portable and compact deterrent… but for higher security.. use on back wheel and combine with a chain and padlock fixed to something solid. Well worth the money though.

Oxford scoot xa5

Perfect deterant for my mtb. Well made, weighty and loud. Along with another alarm/light and the ABUS BORDO folding lock i feel confident enough to leave my bike secured anywhere within sight. *Please note * these locks do NOT have a "sold secure" rating.Read full review...

Great lock!

Great lock, perfect for the 10” wheels on my Vespa PX. For additional security, when fitting to the front wheel of a PX, place it on the wheel between the fork and the shocker. Makes it virtually tamper proof from scrotes with grinders then!Read full review...

Bit flimsy

I tested this product takes about 50 seconds to take off, art is to place it between the folks and the brake pad. This should delay and thief, would definitely use a good chain and a front brake lock too. Should be plenty to make them look for an easier target.Read full review...
