Excellent extra, very easy to fit.

Decided to get these after a few cold but clear rides, after an hour my fingers were aching with wind chill and it was agony using the clutch lever, i'm new to bikes, pretty handy with tools though being an ex car mechanic, these Oxford grips are very easy to fit even for a novice, very clear instructions, there is even a few good Youtube videos on how to fit so you cant go wrong, fitted them to my Ducati Monster 696, i liked them so much, and considered them essential (for Spring in central Scotland) i ordered another set for my Suzuki GSXR600. Big bucks poor quality.

I bought this as a "premium quality" product.
The connectors are cheap and nasty and one of the terminal broke free inside the plastic holder.
I spent 3 hours till I located the problem, then had to cut the connector off and hard-wire the connection.

Cheap and nasty. I would have expected this from an unbranded £20 pair of grips....not from an Oxford product!!!!

Be careful when using the glue for your hot grips

I learnt the hard way.
Make sure your handlebars are in the straight position and not leaning to the left like us bikers like to leave them when we park up.

If you leave the bars to the left when you install your new hot grips, when you come to use the glue it will run down the inside of the throttle housing and will quickly go hard, resulting in your throttle being glued tightly and you will be unable to open the throttle, thus rendering your hot grips no good.

If this happens like I did then you have to unscrew the 2 screws holding your throttle together and you need to start scraping the excess glue that has run down into the housing being carefully not to damage the hot grips, once you have carefully scraped the excess glue off then your throttle should open and close as it should do.

So remember to leave your bars straight or leaning to the right for the excess glue to run out.

Hope that helps.

Does the job perfectly well

Does what it says on the tin!! On the hottest setting you’d have to be high up on the alps at -40 to use it they get insanely hot, for us in the uk just perfect really, easy to install the only thing I would say is maybe use your own glue something slightly stronger and better as I used the supplied one and it come loose after a couple of weeks (maybe my fault who knows) but used some gorilla glue and it’s been fine since.
I would definitely recommend these tho keeps your hands super toasty and warm with some decent gloves to boot 🤙

Love them

Never used one of these before and I must admit that I absolutely love them. Installation was easy and took me just over 2 hours. Nice heat at 75%, never had to go over yet. And nice safety fuse that if case u forget to turn them off, it will do it after a couple of minutes or when voltage goes below certain value. Read full review...

Great product

Excellent and simple installation. I used to have to older Sports heated grips. Although great I was constantly worrying if I turned them off or not when parked up. Well no more worrying with these new ones. The smart controller recognised when the engine is off and also monitors the battery level. In both cases if they turn off then the grips turn themselves off. I believe the instructions give you 2 minutes before stopping the heat and waiting on standby for a further 5 minutes then turn completely off.

In simple terms no finding switch lives, messing about with your wiring loom etc. Just fit and play.

One thing to note for first time users make sure your throttle grip snaps back to the off position quickly as this would be an MOT failure. Test the handles left to right making sure the wire doesn't catch and throttle closes quickly before applying any glue.

I've used the super glue before in the past and although it does work I've found Evostick red glue is great. Gives you more time before setting allowing a finer adjustment when fitted. Although takes a good 24hrs to set. Just my personal preference.

As for the Oxford product you can't go wrong and the price is great, I paid a lot more a couple of years back.

Bracket with fittings provided and control unit now screws to the bracket so no pad losing its stick after 6 months.

Superhot and lots of features.

These get really hot !! Loads of power settings and they also have a battery saver mode if they detect less the bike isn't charging and turn themselves off.

There is plenty of cable included. In my opinion , too much. It's hard to hide it all at the front of the bike so a tidy installation is tricky. But I'm nit-picking here !!

There were reports of them being very tight to fit. I didn't struggle at all using a high flashpoint solvent as lubrication (brake cleaner) and a rubber mallet. Use something a 27mm deep socket as a drift to get them further into the bars.

The rubber is quite hard so they will last well. I'd be interested in what the 'adventure' version rubber is like.

If you don't like the hard rubber, you can always fit 'Grip Puppies' foam covers.

Quality product

Just fitted them on my 2019 Cb500f, I would say they're not too difficult job took me over an hour coz I'm a fuzzy and wanted it to be as clean work as possible. The grips are solid, far better to hold than stock ones (almost hard plastic) and warm up pretty quickly. I'm hoping they last a long time, very happy with the grips.Read full review...

Oxford hot grips

These grips are great, top quality and very easy to fit. The new controller shuts itself off if you forget to turn the grips off after your ride, so there is no need to fit a relay or hack the wiring loom. Top setting on the heat output is more than hot enough, even with thick winter gloves, I generally turn them down after a couple of miles even when it is just above freezing outside. Fitted these to an MT-07.Read full review...

Well build

For Honda Forza 300 ABS ,2014
The grips looks well built.
I tested them before fitting - working fine straight out of the box.
Fitting: left grip - no problems to fit ( little glue used ) >Right grip -diameter is slightly smaller to fit straight away, only able to fit after I removed off completely (using machinery with sand paper) all extra bits on the handlebar.
Smart controller - easy to fit to left handlebar using provided metal plate( fits perfectly)
All the cables from both grips and controller a bit of a fiddle to fit nicely under pannels all the way to the battery ( under the seat) but after some efforts perfectly done.
Overall - hot as promised , looking well made , specifically for my model some effort required to fit ( it took me about couple hours) .
Time will tell how long will last , si far all good
