Great value
After a lot of research I bought this banjo. As far as I can tell, it's the same model on sale for up to £50 more elsewhere. Here are my other thoughts.
Delivery: promised in three days, but arrived next day. 10/10
Packaging excellent, so item undamaged. 10/10
I'm a novice banjo player, but a professionally trained musician, so I recognise quality when I see it, and this instrument is very playable. Tone, finish, mechanics, strings, tuning pegs - all very good, except that it took a bit of work to get the 5th string tuner to grip properly. 9/10
If I were a novice musician, I would have liked to have a bit of written guidance about how to set up the bridge and the tuning. It's not difficult, but a novice would need help. 9/10
It sounds great, and the included strap and bag are a useful added feature. This banjo is worth every penny of its price. I warmly recommend it. If you want to play banjo, start by buying this one.
