I'd never played a Paper Mario title before this but got inspired to try after seeing the release trailer for this same coupled with the quick-to-praise post-release reviews. I've watched Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door speedruns done on GDQ for a few years which made the series look fun and compelling story-wise, but I was delighted to find that the gameplay is so enjoyable as well. The entire region and environments are bright and colorful, full of imagination and crafts. The game is extremely fun once you get past the initial areas and the story was compelling as heck to go through. With so many things to collect, the amazing soundtrack, a really awesome spin on boss battling and fighting normal enemies, the origami king deserves a lot more attention than it has been getting due to being compared to the thousand year door. Try this if you loved the classic Paper Mario games!

I want to make up a decent-sized library of games for my Switch Lite, and Origami King is on my list. Growing up, I loved the first 3 Paper Mario games but got disappointed when I learned how Sticker Star turned out. I figured that Origami King would recapture the charm that the first games had, and it seems like it (Even though I'm less than an hour in as of this writing ^^;).

This game is no exception to the tricky rule of Paper Mario games. They test your skills in battle with strategic ways of defeating enemies.
