Pacific Rim | Uv (DVD, 2013)

Exciting and very entertaining

When I first saw this movie I knew it was going to be one of those movies you go back to watch a second and third time. For me, the amount of times I've watched this one has been forgotten. I truly can and did watch it over and over and over again. I know....but it just captivated my imagination. The music score was also pretty cool.

The storyline was unique. A bit far fetched as far as plausibility goes, but that's what makes it sci-fi meets horror movie memorable.

I found this movie at times to be simply lol funny. The concept of huge robots fighting monsters that came up from another dimension beneath the Pacific Ocean to destroy cities, at first, felt very much like a 'Godzilla' rip off, but there were so many other elements like the robots driven by a two man team and the pilots having to be 'drift' compatible stirred my curiosity.

The Japanese element to the storyline felt a little anime at times and really let you know you were watching a piece of cinematic fiction. If you like shows like The Power Rangers, Voltron, Godzilla, then this one is a must see.

Definitely worthy of 4 stars from me. I enjoyed watching this flick.Read full review
