A Pale View of Hills. A recollection of distant memory
An enigmatic narrative of the memories of a Japanese woman now living in Endland. She thinks back to events in Nagasaki which was being rebuilt after the war. But her memory is uncertain. Events are conflated and confused both in place person and time
It makes for a surprisingly easy though unsettling read. With many unanswered questions. RecommendRead full review...

bit of a vague plot
I made the mistake of buying this book as I had read Kazuo Ishiguro's latest book "The Buried Giant" first. The Buried Giant was excellent for me and I can only presume that he has improved through his other books. I will try another one sometime.Read full review...
