Small player with big picture quality

This little player has the most awesome sound and picture quality of any player I have previously owned! I have been re-watching my Ultra HD collection and it's like I've never seen them before with the new picture and color quality. Though this is not a high end Panasonic player with all the extras it is still well worth the price as it does not sacrifice any of the great quality. One thing though, I had to watch a video on YouTube on how to set the device up for best settings. To get the best quality 4k upgrade of DVD's and blu-rays you need to turn off the auto setting on output and choose the 4k setting at the bottom of the list. Also for maximum picture quality on 4k discs be sure and set to 4,4 4 setting. Something which is not explained in the book that comes with the player. I have been enjoying all my content of blu-rays, DVD's and Ultra HD's like never before with the UB154. The player also makes it easier to see which Ultra HD discs have a great transfer and which one does not. For instance, the film OBLIVIAN is a great sci-fi film but the transfer, though good, does not have the full HDR that other, more superior transfers do like BLOODSHOT for instance. Read full review
