Good performer but complicated

It is a good performing DVD recorder, excellent picture quality.
But, compared to PVRs these machines are complicated to use and take some time to work out if, like me, you have not used one before. It does not accept all brands of DVD+RW discs, for example, and you rely on trial and error...

Very versatile performer. Just what the doctor ordered!

I had reservations about purchasing this DVD HDD recorder as I didn't think it could do everything I needed it to do. The instructions which I had to download were daunting but using the search on the pdf document I was able to discover all possibilities with this very well designed unit. Having two SCARTS meant I could record legally from both SKY box and VCR on the fly! Not at the same time though! There is a facility to record to HDD and then to DVD speedily. There is a HDMI output which gives good video and audio for playback. Very pleased.Read full review

Brilliant PVR

I'm absolutely thrilled to have been able to replace my previous recorder. After years of service the volume was faulty which made recordings painful to watch. They no longer produce this model so I was just making do until I saw this reconditioned model on ebay.

Ideal for Copying from an External Device.

No manual but easy to use because I've owned one before. You can copy, but only in standard definition via scart from external device (e.g. SKY HD Box), edit, remove adverts and transfer to DVD Disc. Unfortunately, up-to-date models won't do this.
