Best 2-line cordless of a narrow field

PROS

Decent sound quality, especially with a good headset.

All the basic features one needs; I am on business calls all day.

CONS

Mailbox fust be cleaned periodically, so base must be kept where it can be checked.

Line cuts out briefly when other line rings.

Buttons wear down after years of use.

A great phone with powerful capabilities

This phone works great as an ordinary cordless phone, however if you look deeper, this is a phone with very powerful capabilities. Example, the phone can be set to select line 1 or line 2 as the default line to pick up, Different ring tones for both line 1 & 2, Different number of rings before answering for both lines 1 & 2. Privacy features to prevent other extensions from your base listening in on a conversation. The list of options goes on. Also, depending upon your base (I am using the 2740) there may be up to eight (8) handsets used as extensions. Additional features also include the ability to transfer calls, place calls on hold, talk between handsets like an intercom, while someone else is on a phone line. I am absolutely amazed at the capabilities of these phones.

I have been using these phones for over 5 years and have been 100% pleased with their performance. I have had no problems at all with the phones (six (6) of them). Replacing batteries has been the only maintenence performed on them.

This is a great phone! ! !

Very Useful 2 line phone...

I have one of these phones in every area of my home, upstairs, downstairs, basement, & shop. We can intercom back & forth and it has 2 lines that ring distinctly...if you buy them right (higher AH) the batteries last a long time off the hook and talking...I don't see how you can improve such a good product for the purpose intended. What, put a camera on it? get a life.Read full review...

Excellent handset for expansion

It's easy to set up and register the handset to your existing base if you have the instruction booklet, which luckily I have! The quality is surprisingly good, but I had to change the battery. The quality is even better than some of my older original handsets!Read full review...

Panasonic KX-TGA270S 2.4 GHz 2-Line Cordless Handset

DON"T BUY USED PHONE HANDSETS. When one of my handsets stopped working I thought I would buy a replacement on eBay where I have generally had good luck. The replacement phone works poorly and if I had to do it again I would have bought a whole new system. If I sold my old components I would now have a new system for free and some extra cash in my pocket.Read full review...

Very versatile with more features than I will use!

Works as advertised and was a needed addition to my system since the 4th house phone (of a different make) was interfering with my WiFi

Great phone!

Great Phone!

We've owned this phone system for at least 10 years, and were very happy to recently find an additional phone to add to our other two. The sound and quality of the device are very good. The overall system is great, because only one phone needs to be plugged into a phone jack. The remaining phones just need to be plugged into an electrical outlet. All phones are then sync. Ed together with a few simple steps.Read full review...
