Still solid after all these years
The DMC-FZ50 remains a solid camera even after many iterations through the years. Whether it works for you depends only on what it will be used for. If you take mostly still images and don't need low-light performance, this will take very decent pictures (keep the iso value low). The built-in flash works well, and the camera will also accept a shoe-mounted flash. There are a number of choices for these, as Panasonic and Olympus share the same TTL protocol.
