I’ve had one of these machines in regular use for more than fifteen years. I have purchased this second hand machine in very good order as a replacement. Very happy with purchase so far.

This is my second SD-251 (both second hand) - never had an issue with them. It always seems to be cheaper to buy a used one from ebay than buying a replacement part (in this case I was after a new breadpan...but bought a whole new maker for less than half the price).Read full review

Best investment

I bought this bread maker to replace a Panasonic I have been using every week for the last 12 years. The bread pan became scratched and was expensive to replace although the machine was still in working order. This model makes perfect bread every time, even on rapid bake. I wouldn't consider another make.......... especially at the bargain price I paid for it on eBay!Read full review

Long service award...

I purchased this breadmaker to replace one that had served us well for 17 years of daily use, and only required a new drive belt after 15 years. This breadmaker is definitely made to last, despite many years of slightly less than gentle use.
We expect this one to last even longer. You can pick them up for pretty low prices these days. I was so satisfied with this model, that I didn't even bother looking at more recent models to replace the old one.Read full review
