It does record tapes in real time, so a certain amount of attention is requires. This machine functions as expected and the results are satisfactory. It came without a manual but one can easily be downloaded from an internet site. The remote control provided was not identical with that illustrated in the manual but it has been possible to transmit every necessary command with it.
