Originally brought as aback up,when I didn't want to carry around my heavy DSLR and lenses,Very impressived with the image quality, although at full zoom length the image is not so sharp.Used in lowlight conditions still produces usable shots with little noise visible.Quite a heavy camera,build quality is reasonable.

Bought it for the wide aperture lens. At 1.4 it's almost unique. My wife has trouble with unsteady hands and with this little gem it doesn't matter. Wide aperture means faster shutter speed, so end of problem. Quality, especially of close ups, is remarkable.Read full review...

Does everything that I need from a camera
Enough modes to keep an enthusiast happy. Everything from point and shoot via AP & SP to manual. The auto focus is very fast, snaps into accurate focus in a fraction of a second. Exposure and resolution are great. Movie mode is high definition too. Zoom range is very good 25-400mm (and can be extended x2 and even x4 too).
