Non Experts review of an amazing camera

I bought this as I wanted something better than a point and shoot camera. I had a PanaSonic fz72 which is small DSLR size but very light. However it is not easy to carry in all situations and extreme zooms require a tripod as lens is also slow. This is very small, light and easy to use. If you want to experiment further than you can gradually learn all the functions. It also has an optical viewfinder, useful in glare. So it fulfills my needs from a point and shoot perspective as well as letting me learn other functions at my own pace. It has practically every function of a CSC but the sensor is smaller , but bigger than the point and shoots sensor. The lens is very fast and a 7X zoom is decent. Terrific little camera!

Terrific little camera. I have got fed up carting around a heavy SLR and various lenses, this little camera has been a revelation. The quality of the photographs is easily as good as the SLR and there are many options that make it 'user friendly'. - and a darn site more easily carried around, just slips into a pocket!

The viewfinder makes for better framing in 'difficult' light conditions.

If you are not already a good photographer it will not make you a better one but, boy oh boy it is so much easier to snap away then filter out the dross! The screen is of a descent size making reviewing a pleasure.

Great pocketable camera.

Excellent quality true pocket camera with a viewfinder. Very good in low light situations,Care is required with the mode dial it is easily accidentally moved, apart from that it's a great camera.
