I love CCTs and Parkside delivers in quality
These are my fav pieces of rolling stock, and there are many out there in OO scale but Parkside are an excellent cheap alternative as long as you have the time to build it using modelling cement and the right paints.
Certainly also worth getting multiples if you can to make a full rake, and Parkside Dunas kits in general are fun to make and I recommend.Read full review...

Peco - Parkside Southern CCT Parcels Van
The main body is moulded in green, the roof in grey, and the under-frame in black plastic.
The quality of the parts is generally good with crisp detail. Some of the under-frame detail had some flash run out evident.
The wheels and buffers are metal, which is really good, andhe inclusion of brass bearings for the axles makes for superb running.
The instructions are OK, but not for the novice modeller.
My kit had no couplings included - which for the price of the kit is not good - although mounts for .Hornby style couplings are included.
Decals for BR Southern are included.
Remember to keep the clear plastic packaging as it will be needed as widow glazing on the model.Read full review...

Parkside needs my assistance.
The detail is good but the model is let down by poor instructions. Having just returned to modelling after a LONG gap I can say the Ratio instructions are very much more detailed and have helpful illustrations. That said it isn’t too hard to figure out for yourself so don’t be put off. If Parkside want to provide me with free kits I’d be willing to write them better instructions. If they were smart they would have a builders’ forum and let their customers help each other.Read full review...
