Darkroom In A Box - Paterson Quality - Great Price!
After all these years in the Digital Age, I decided to dig out my old 35mm Nikon N4004 SLR and resurrect my hobby of film-based photography. Trouble is, I had these darkroom essentials decades ago when I first got into photography, but gave them all away when I switched to digital-only photography. Imagine my delight when I saw this being advertised on eBay; my original film and print processing equipment was Paterson and I have been in love with Paterson ever since. All the essentials (and the awesome Paterson brand at that!!) assembled into a "darkroom in a box". Only one drawback: because the kit shipped from the UK, the red safelight naturally came with a British electrical plug and a 220V bulb; but, I easily rectified that by purchasing a UK/US plug adapter and a 15W 120V E14 bulb off of Amazon for $15 (total for both); that's the only hiccup I had with this kit. Because it's Paterson, all the included equipment is sturdy, sleek and ergonomic......just like I remember from years ago - feels wonderful using Paterson gear again! If you're looking for a complete (minus the enlarger, paper and processing chemicals) starter "darkroom in a box", look no further than this Paterson kit - you won't find higher quality at a more reasonable price than Paterson.Read full review
