I am not sure why they no longer sell these new...

I have compared this to a Schiit Modi Multibit, which due to price point you would expect it to better, a SMSL sd-793ii and a Parasound Halo P5. It bested them all by a wide margin. I did have an issue where it sounded horrible, but cycling power fixed it, thus far that issue hasn't repeated. Bottom line, this is a really good sounding DAC. I don't believe that the difference is in the actual DAC, but in the output analog circuit. Others may disagree, but be it the DAC or the analog output stage, this is a great sounding DAC for the money.Read full review

Sounds Great

I'm running my computer, tv, and cd player through the Dac Itx to my vintage Sansui G6000. It sounds really good. I haven't compared it to other DAC's but I know good sound and it's well worth the price. Build quality is excellent as well. It looks good, sounds good and is a cinch to change from one source to the next. I just use the buttons but it has a nice remote. The only negative I would say is I had difficulty installing the drivers for the USB/computer function. I used the disc provided for install and have a pc with Windows 10. I couldn't get it running and had to have a friend who is more computer savvy get it running. In spite of that I'm glad I have it.Read full review

Excellent Dac & Extraordinary Value

MAGIC. I’ve owned a number of quality DACs but this one blows them away for sheer jaw-dropping, grin inducing musicality. I think you’d need to spend approx 10x more to (possibly)gain a significant improvement. It’s a hi build quality and looks clean; I believe Jonny Ive would approve it’s design. The DAC was exactly what I needed for my system. And the improvement in the sound is amazing! I've been pondering whether or not I should get one, and now I wonder why I waited.
