The Perfect 'Persuasion'

Of all the adaptations of this novel I have seen, this is by far the best. Wonderful atmosphere, authentic period detail and genuinely emotional. Amanda Root is the definitive Anne Elliot. This dvd was a great price and arrived quickly too.Read full review

An enjoyable watch, excellent value for an Austen fan!

I enjoyed this Jane Austen DVD. I have others but each version fills in different details from her books so I love that I keep on learning about her stories. I am go back time and time again to my Jane Austen DVD and enjoy them over and over si they are good value in that respect. Read full review

Persuasion hits the mark!

I think this is one of the better adaptations of Jane Austen's novels. The characters are believable, and their story engaging.

I personally prefer the later version with Sally Hawkins but this is still worth seeing. Good BBC drama which reflects the book by Jane Austen.
