Vastly inferior to the earlier version. Not recommended.

I had one of the older versions and it worked perfectly but failed after 10 years which is quite impressive. This new version is vastly inferior to the earlier one. No matter what I do I just can't get it to work properly even after fitting the spacer.

It's also a slightly different size to the old one so if you're replacing an old one with a new one then you'll need to recut the hole and re-drill the holes for the securing screws.

confusing cat flap.

door opening options do not correspond with the button, i.e. when in and out lock showing only coming in mode works. to get locking both ways the incoming arrow choice has to be chosen.

We like, cat not so much

We like it and the idea of it suits are needs. However our cat is reluctant to use it in automatic mode as she doesn't like the unlocking noise. It makes her jump. She will use it in manual mode.

Great door & stops strange cats getting in.

Previously had a magnetic door but kept getting other cats in. Took a while for our timid cat to get used to new flap due to clicking noise. Ended up taping the door open for a few days until she got used to coming through the hole. Then when she was confident we let it down and now she's fine. These things are expensive but well worth it. You only have to instal it once! Peace of mind knowing the neighbours cats aren't all in my kitchen having a ball. My cat is dead now, but it served her well whilst she was still here.Read full review...
