Not easy to use

I bought this remote control to use with my Blaupunkt TV and Technomate Satelite receiver. I thought it would be it very useful especially at nights as its screen illuminates nicely. But neither of the devices were on the codes lists. I tried to program it using its learn function it wouldn't easily program and would lock with the blue light continuously on. Also one of the buttons that can't be programmed with learn function is the EXIT button which is one of the most used buttons in any remote control.
