Future is bright
Very good light output. Been fitted a while and no issues. Compared to a new standard bulb and visually brighter. Just make sure it's a genuine Philips part you're buying.
Not overly impressed
I read other reviews and thought that these were going to be better than they actually are in my opinion. I fitted them on a BMW F30 which was a nightmare on its own, but when I come to using them at night; I saw no difference in colour (still the same yellow from halogen) and more importantly I saw no difference in the distance on the beam which was the main reason for purchasing them. They're yellow, not white!
Firstly, they're better than factory bulbs, giving slightly more spread of light on the road, but 130% more? Absolutely not!
Like most of you I've spent an inordinate amount of time on the internet reading reviews on car bulbs looking for the brightest and whitest bulb on the market. These are said to be the best of the best for halogens, rivalled only by Osram Nightbreakers.
In my mk4 Mondeo (non projector) they are absolutely not white! They're the same shade of yellow as any standard bulb out there. I can only surmise that the videos I've seen online showing a crisp sharp bright white headlight is what the camera sensor is seeing rather than the human eye in real life.
The only other bulb I'd be interested in trying is the Philips Ultra Blue Vision to see if they give that modern look we all desire of halogens, but I just cannot justify spending more money on bulbs when I've been let down by the false claims of this one!Read full review...

A quality bulb, but...
+130% suggests it will be twice as bright as an 'ordinary' bulb, but in practice I'd say my real-world experience of it is about +10% compared to my outgoing bulbs that were the ones that were factory fitted when the car was new - ok, it's a bit better, but only a bit. Disappointed
The packaging gives the impression that these bulbs are considerably brighter than standard halogens, however this what not the case. I fitted them to my fathers 2014 VW Tiguan to replace the dull yellow standard H7 dipped beam but upon trying them out at night I found them to be only some what brighter than the standard bulbs, producing a still very yellow light.Read full review...

Much difference from car's original light bulbs
Very good light bulbs, I can feel the difference on my old (not so old) car with a standard light bulbs. Good price if you compare other providers. Having tested the Osram equivalent (they didn't last) I have purchased these for all my cars ever since. The light is white and provides that extra light when driving in poorly lit areas.

Watch for fakes, genuine one are good.
People complain they are no different, then they are fake, trust me too many sellers sell fakes, see pics of the real ones below, things to look for, hologram Original equipment quality logo which should be under the dome on the front of the plastic case, the rear picture should match mine as there are many different one’s on the fakes.
The next is the bulb, the writing on the bulb should be laser etched like it’s burnt on and will not scratch off, fakes cannot match this they print it on, the silver tip is chrome and will not burn off unlike the fakes, so be aware don’t pay the same money for a fake, they are liable to blow and melt the wiring or even catch fire in the headlamp, and they will not last.
You will not get a lamp warning, but you may with fakes.
You can only get so bright with legal bulbs so don’t expect the earth.
Only buy from a good online retailer that trades on ebay, I bought these from Eurocarparts, I've had a set in my Astra H for a couple of years now and are much better than the standard one's, they are whiter than standard but they are not completely white, you cannot achieve this unless they are LED's.Read full review...

Excellent delivery service but unconvinced about the bulbs
Having previously used Osram nightbreakers, I was expecting great things of this Autoexpress best buy light upgrade. Whilst definitely an improvement over the originals, these Philips were not as white as the Osrams and seemed to not have the same reach.
