Excellent steam generating iron

I bought this based on a good review and I can honestly say that I am in full agreement with the review. This iron is far better than anything we have had before - but also a lot more expensive. My wife wears very smart clothes for work and loves everything to be ironed well and this iron achieves this with ease. I like the ability to iron cotton bed linen, which he's been dried in a tumble dryer and become crumpled, to perfection with the minimum of effort. When it comes to bed linen our previous (cheap!) irons can't produce the same result irrespective of the effort put in. The supplier was very straightforward to deal with. Worst iron I've ever had.

Worst iron I've ever purchased. Doesn't get creases out, it's actually increased my ironing time. Having a b&b we spend enough time ironing without it taking more time. The steam function is okay although it soaks the ironing board but the handset is too light. Don't waste your money, wish I had purchased another Morphy Richards generator iron now. The only positive is it has a continuous steam function so you don't need to keep the button pressed whilst ironing. Read full review

Best Iron I've Ever Owned

I have never spent so much money on an iron however, for the speed it can get through the ironing pile, the lightweight Philips GC9650 was worth every penny! It's light and easy to use, there's no messing around with fabric dials and its can go straight from wool to silk without any need for instruction. With 7.5 barr of pressure you can't go wrong. Lightweight with great features.

Quality product but very disappointed to find it had a 2 pin plug as I am in the UK. I know it is mentioned in the details and my fault that I didn't notice but feel it should be highlighted especially if it is being sent to UK.
