Walking In Gear
This is my third Philips GoGear, this is the first fitDot. I love it already because I can put it on my arm for hands free music. I can't use the software because it is not compatible with Windows 10 software. However I can drag and drop the music needed. Thrilled to know it has more features than other reviewers have reported. You can fast forward to a song, You can replay a song. I love the sound. The headphones are uncomfortable to wear, but I have others so that is not a major problem for me. Overall, I love this one as much as my other versions of GoGear Mp3 players. Keeps me walking with the gear to keep me motivated. New walker and love the motivation. Also, love the way in rotation each plugs into my laptop so they keep charged.Read full review

Some design flaws
This does have some useful features, such as being small and lightweight, and driving headphones to a decent volume, and comes with a neat armband if you need that sort of thing (also a belt clip is built in to the back of the player). However, some annoying features: it cannot play and charge at the same time, which is dumb. It doesn't have a lock button, which is odd for something that's designed to clip onto a pocket or a belt, or be worn as an armband. The thing will get jostled, and the easy-access buttons means it's easy to skip to the next song or change the volume. And if you do accidentally skip a track, there is no fast-forward or rewind feature to get back to the original position (e.g. if you're half way through a 30-minute podcast, too bad).
So, really not user-centric at all. I just it for loading up a few podcasts for the car, but then again you can't charge it and play it at the same time ... oh yeah, that would be user-centric.Read full review

Used it for the 1st time today on my 6 mile run. its super small and light weight compared to your smart phone as a music player. A bit larger than an ipod shuffle. Its freaking simple to use just like a usb drive. click and drag all your favorite tunes. when you connect your mp3 player to your computer, you will see other things installed (2 songs you don't need and instruction manual (pdf) in various languages. Always take a quick glance at the manual for play operations. You need to know how to fast forward (skip), shuffle, turn on, turn off, and so forth. That's it. no thrills and frills. some people were complaining about the operation is difficult but shit, its not like your operating a apache helicopter dodging RPGs in Iraq. its an affordable mp3 player for your work outs. I didn't use the arm strap. I did use that rubber cover for protection and stuck it in my back pocket.
I didn't test the battery to the fullest. I did last 80 minutes so far. It does seem to get hot when you charge it to you computer. My main worry is that it will overcharge and wear out the internal battery.Read full review

This little MP3 player is perfect for my needs. It has good quality sound and is easy to use. I work out at the gym, put it on my arm with the included arm strap and it randomly plays the songs I have placed on the device. No need to download any software, you can do a simple drag and drop to get the items on the device. I have Windows 10, and it's really easy.
I did not like the ear buds it came with (they don't fit properly), so I simply use the headphones I already had.Read full review
