Philips Series 5000 S5240/06 Rechargeable Men's Electric Shaver

Perfection in shaving!

As a well experienced shaver of 83 years Ii became necessary to ditch my last Philip , in use for 15 years.

I chose my new razor only on manufacturers reputation and my experience. Imagine my delight when I discovered this little beauty was more than twice as good as anything I have used before. Perfection would not be too strong a description. Thanks !

OK as a stand by

This shaver replaced my Philips Norelco arcitec which I purchased in 2007 when in America except for the battery failing & not being able to replace shaving heads would have still been using it, this series 5000 does not shave as close as my previous shaver, the on off switch is in a bad position keep switching it off while shaving, only has 40min shave time, old shaver had 95min, altogether a disappointing product.Read full review

Good value lightweight product.

Very good value, quality, quiet and easy to use unfortunately some of the face stubble needs several goes but still remains.
It would be useful to compare this product with later ?better models.

My best electric shaver yet.

Really pleased with this, my third Phillips Shaver. The previous two gave very good sevice for over 12 years each, and this is the best yet to use!
Only small criticism is that the waterproof on/off button is very easy to turn off when shaving. Will have to change how I hold it.

Does not shave very closely. My previous Philishave that dispensed cream while shaving was much better but no longer available.
