Works well, good value, Arca Swiss plate compatible.

I bought this after reading all the great reviews, it was quickly delivered and seems fine so far, everything locks ok with the camera on top. I wanted to use it with a cheap Universal L bracket which was said to be Arca Swiss plate compatible, I had read of some Arca Swiss style fittings which didn't match, the new ball head and the L bracket combine perfectly and when tightened feels very secure. I feel like the pro photographers changing camera orientation quickly while keeping the centre of gravity above my tripod.Read full review

Phot-R Ball Head - a great product at a brilliant price

For a cheap ball and socket tripod head this is extremely good value for money. It's small and lightweight, but very well engineered, and has the bonus of an Arca-Swiss compatible top plate. If you are on the move and don't want to be overburdened with heavy equipment this is worth investing in, although of course being lightweight it will not be suitable for heavy camera/lens combinations. However, that should in no way detract from the product as good photographers should be aware that there are always 'horses for courses' and there is no perfect 'one size fits all' magic product!Read full review

best accessory yet!

Without a doubt the most useful accessory I have yet bought for my camera! It has turned my monopod from an inflexible stick to an amazingly exceptional support with unlimited angles of attack to get at those awkward subjects. I had just purchased a new macro lens and was realising I didnt have the support or flerxibility to really put my new lens to the test. Works well at this price range

I bought this to use on a ground tripod. The head has a ball head that rotates in all directions but is not dampened horizontaly. All positioned can be locked into position with one of the three substantial nuts that surround the circumference.Horizontal movement is very smoothe and this is very important to pan without causing vibration. This is strong enough to hold most cameras and size of lens, I use it with a

Weight is no problem

With an 8Kg load I have no problem with my Canon 5D Mark IV and my Canon 100-400mm len's, it work's beautifully and handles well, especially when out photographing wildlife.

Well worth the money strong durable very surprised at how good it really is

Plesently surprised by this ball head was going to spend the extra on a manfrotto equivalent but actually glad I didn't know I've got the Sony Fs700 on a vavaron slider this is a heavy camera and the fact that I have an Atomos recorder on there too knocks the weight up.this holds up to the job solid locking ball none of that camera going wonky half way through an important shot, my kit with the Atomos weighs around 6kg and this ball mount holds up fine so any angled slider shots this baby is my friend to relevel great for the cash and up to the job five stars for this productRead full review
