Best yet

Been using these for the last 6 months and are the best earplugs I've tried so far; will buy a spare to take on a big trip.

Better at cutting windnoise yet allowing me to hear music from my helmet speakers than Senna plugs.

Colour makes them easier to find when you drop them.

I will use the bank card slot in the spare carry case to keep a Post Office Money Card in case I lose my wallet or get mugged on a foreign trip.

Not as good as you would think

Compared to other ear plugs these are expensive so I thought they must be good. When first opened from the packaging, the card and earplug pouch is made of cheap polystyrene and is very thick. Not very suitable if wearing a one piece suit With one pocket, so that went in the bin. The ear plugs themselves looked good the large pair fitted me and the medium pair fitted my wife but the set only comes with one set of red filters and they cannot be bought separately. So the pair that doesn’t fit goes in the bin because I would need to buy another set just for the filters. The fitment in the ear isn’t great either. With my helmet on, the seal between the plug and my ear opens when turning my head and sometimes they will work themselves out of my ear. When I remove my helmet they fall on the ground. The only good thing about them is they cut down the wind noise to a good level and I can hear the traffic around me better. Overall very expensive for a tiny piece of rubber and plastic with a micro piece of paper for a filter.Read full review...

No better than cheaper foam earplugs

I have used cheaper disposable ear plugs on my motorcycle for a few years now but recently decided to upgrade to something with better noise reduction and that was reusable. I've been out a couple of times with these new earplugs and find them no more effective at blocking engine and wind noise nor more comfortable than the much cheaper foam ones. Also the tiny rubber bits that sticks out so that you can extract them is fiddly to get hold of when you need to take them out of your ears, especially with colder hands. The box they come in is far bigger than it needs to be and poor quality so that went straight in the bin. The only advantage is that these new plugs are washable, but not really worth the £15-£20 price tag I'm afraid.Read full review...

I guess its very overpriced

They are good earplugs, but I'm really struggling to get them out from ears ( maybe its my big ears :) )
i looked on price and thou that probably they very good end they coming in nice smart box. so i get them. BUT guess what - Box is not as nice as it looks its maid from polystyrene !!! they advertise that You can put there credit card. Really? Don't think You would. Doest looks safe enough .
Also for this price You would want to have all 4 earplugs to be fitted with filters not only 2.
Hope they will work as good as they cost.

Not good - nice idea - poorly executed

Investing in ear protection as a motorcyclist is really important, pinlock know that and we customers know it as well. I bought these earplugs and they are noisy, basically the poorest disposable ear foam plug outperforms them. I am so disappointed after spending twenty quid on a reduction that couldn't cost 50p to manufacture. Poor sizing, inadequate gauge of material and a filter insert that appears to make no difference to the performance. I have had various attempts to insert and try them different ways but they are no good. ShameRead full review...

Stick to disposable...

I have been using disposable ear plugs on my bikes for a couple of years now. Been considering the PinLock reusable ear plugs for some time... bit the bullet and have been left disappointed. Although I have fitted them exactly as advised, the noise level is barely if at all reduced. They are fairly comfortable BUT I'll be sticking to disposable plugs for now for superior noise reduction. These are NOT as good as you'd hope. They are far too expensive for what you get. Your call, but I'd stick to what you know...Read full review...

Perfect.

Used on a 2500 mile trip. Very comfortable, easy to clean and stayed in place. Kept the engine and wind noise down without blocking other vehicle noises. Did not get that slightly removed from reality I've had with the foam type.Read full review...

Work well but are flawed by useless packaging and inherent design flaw.

Pros
Does what it says on the packet
Cons
The box is completely pointless
Once you know the size that fits you the second pair are superfluous so there should be an option to purchase just one size.
After using for a relatively small number of times the red insert has a habit of falling out and because of its size is then extremely difficult to find.

Poor

I have been wearing earplugs for many years I mainly wear the soft foam type. After reading good reviews on these Pinlock ones I decided to try a pair, the initial impression was very good 2 sizes to choose from. I settled on the smaller of the two as these provided the best fit, although I have subsequently tried both sizes. I set off for my first ride in them, but within half a mile I stopped to check they were still in place. They provide very little noise reduction at all, as I mentioned I tried both sizes with no improvement. I find they give a very small noise reduction, and the wind noise on the motorway is horrendous. I have gone back to wearing my foam ones and I'm now looking at a pair of custom fitted ones. Overall I found these to be a complete waste of money and I won't recommend them to anyone.Read full review...

Pinlock earplugs

They come as 2 pairs in a handy little storage case. There are 2 sizes provided, medium and large with only the large plugs having the noise dampening filters fitted. If you prefer the medium ear plugs the filters are required to be removed from the large plugs before being fitted into the medium ones. My own personal preference is that I would have preferred two sets of the large sized plugs as I will never use the medium size so they are surplus to requirements and to push to boat out further it would be nice if both sets of plugs were fitted with filters. They fit nicely into the ear (with a bit of practice) and they do a very good job reducing the sharper top end noises which I don't like. There is still a bit of wind noise but I believe it to be acceptable. They are easily removed after use by means of the small tag included in the design. They can be cleaned after use and stored ready for their next use. They should be removed and placed straight in the box in my opinion as they can be easily lost otherwise, I lost one by not placing it in the box, the material they are made from makes them quite bouncy so if you don't handle them with care, they can hit the ground, bounce, and then be difficult to find or be lost (which was the result in my case). I bought another set so that in itself tells a story. I will purchase again and I recommend them. If they had 2 sets of large plugs fitted with filters they would have been given a score of 5Read full review...
