Awesome Sub!
I have had just about every brand and type of subwoofer you can imagine over the years, from the cheapest $29.99 one to the JL Audio W7. I must say this sub for the money cannot be beat! I have this hooked up to a Soundstream Rubicon 1000 watt running at 2 ohms @ 800 watts RMS and it sounds really good! I do not think it is broken in quite yet, but it is already shaking the whole minivan. Good job Pioneer! A fantastic value and as I said for the money I think you will not find a better sub out there.Read full review

I wasn't impressed by the low bass in these subs. At a 96db rating I expected much more deep low bass than this sub produced. It did however put out clear loud sound but not with the low deep bass of a mtx tr or Ts series 12 or even kicker comps. I've had almost every name brand and I expected more from pioneer with a 96db rating. Accurately priced. Stick to car cd and DVD players which are superb by way. Not the sub for a true bass head but will be loud enough for a budget system.Read full review

Very tight and handles lots of power
I almost returned these subs. I put them in a sound ordnance sealed box and they sounded muddy they hit hard and loud but not deep enough. I put poly fill in the box and and tried several amps to get the sound. A Rockford 5002p works great on them. They are not good for hip hop if that's the music you listen to don't buy these. I put them in a ported box as well and they are not as loud in a ported box, I'm an 80"s rocker and they sound good on country and rock but don't hit sub sonic notes for hip hop.Read full review

Incredible subs
These subs at the resulting product from Pionner breaking the spl record several years back. For a long time pioneer has had a bad rep on subs but they have proven that they build top quality sub woofers. I have 2 of these in a custom built T-line box. This is the second set of these I've had the first set got stolen I have them in a dual ported dual 12 box with a RXD M4 6000 watt Rockville Phenom pushing wired at 1ohm I listen to everything from skillet to Rap, and honestly country has the lowest bass lines of anything I listen to and between them and the pioneer head unit I fine tuned them with I run with my buddies that have dual 15's and some run 18s for the money you WILL NOT get a better sub sound quality wise and just built excellent any wayRead full review

I worked at stereo shop for years had about every sub their was (12 yrs ago) kicker (round ones), Memphis, orion, hifonics,xtant, polk even other pioneer premiers and it's wasn't only me that noticed the pioneers were best sounding subs I'd ever had and they were cheapest.. now the orion Hp were a little better made but they were 4x this $ too.. some one bought my 8 yr old orion for $100, I replaced it with this pioneer $70 and after 3 days break in it's just as loud and deep as the pioneer in a 1.8cf ad ported box tuned to 38hz (be careful about buying box that says 1.5 or 1.8 cf that's really 1.3 cf u must subtract wood and port and sub displacement most companies don't do that., brightstar has 1.75 cf box on ebay that's close it's really 1.63 tuned to 35, it says 33hz it seemed a little tight sounding in there it's better in my old box but once sub got broke in the brightstar box $65 probably work fine.... if u had 3 of these in a suv with 1500-2000 they would poundRead full review

These speakers sound amazing. I currently have them in a enclosed box (non ported) and they sound amazing. I currently have 550 watts going to each 12 in my 91 Z28 Camaro and they hit very hard and clear with no distortion. Great buy great seller.
