I bought this game/product after already having purchased Pokemon Y already, it is the first time since the very first generations of pokemon games that I have played, from Pokemon Red, Gold and etc. onwards I have continued to play the games series after series, and they continue to improve. Pokemon X and Y take this one step further where every aspect of the gameplay contained within is so much better than the previous titles (B/W & B2/W2) to the point where it is like a whole new game especially with it's graphics - however it still retains the core gameplay of pokemon and the core elements that make it good, popular game which still provides nostalgia to those who revist the past. It is such a good title as I previously mentioned it is the only Pokemon game release where I have bought both editions in order to get the exclusive item(s) and or pokemon because it is worth it in this game and opens many doors of opportunity.Read full review...

Excellent game, a lot of fun

Excellent game, a lot of fun. A good re-introduction to the series (I last played back in 2003, with Ruby & Sapphire, which are re-releasing soon). It requires some reading comprehension -- I'd say a reading level of age 9 -- but otherwise is perfect for kids.

If this if your first Pokemon game, it's a good choice (this or the "Y" version). It guides you through the whole experience. (If not your first game, well, you're already addicted, so here are more Pokemon to add to your collection.)

I bought this game because I got into the trading card game recently, and it ties in very well -- the TCG releases are tied closely to video game releases.Read full review...

I bought this for my son for his birthday. Therefore, personally, I am no judge but he was very happy and thinks its great. He is a big Pokémon fan of 28 years of age. So I guess its a big thumbs up. He lives over 100 miles away so couldn't write this himself.Read full review...

Great fun for all ages

Love this game, lots of fun. Great graphics and design. Much improved from previous games. Easy to use for the young and older generation.

this pokemon generation of games uses the full power of the new console if you have played the other generations of pokemon then the gameplay and story are very similar but its still addictive and fun
