Bought this to get an idea why I have a check engine light on snowmobile engine. Works very well when accompanied by a standard auto scan tool. Snowmobile engine has three pins in a four pin plug (one pin doesn't have a wire) so need the adapter to convert the auto scan tool down to 4 pin plug. Polaris will not sell me a reader rendering the adapter useless. The only advantage I see for the product is to make it quicker for the dealer to hook up to my machine.
