Polaris Unibridge Main Drain Cover Inground Pool Cleaner - White

Works Awesome!

We have an in-ground pool with a deep end, our Dolphin Oasis Z5i Robotic pool vacuum would always get hung-up on the Hayward main drain covers. I had tried different kinds of remedies, but none helped.
I took a chance and purchased one of these Zodiac Polaris 5820 Drain Covers.
It works GREAT!! Our Z5i Oasis goes right over this without any hang ups!!
Only thing Ive seen, but not a problem for our vacuum, it doesn’t sit flush on the pool floor, I guess our Hayward drain covers sit a little high for the Polaris to sit flush. It’s not very bad, only about 1/8”-1/4” gap on one side.
I’ve seen our Z5i go over it at every angle, and never once got hung-up!
So now I’m purchasing a second one for the other drain.

Not compatible with my Hayward drain cover

We had a new liner installed and new Hayward drain covers this year. Apparently the new Hayward drain covers are too high for this product. The Polaris Unibridge therefore does not rest on the pool floor but teeters on the top. My Tiger Shark just pushes it off or worse, the Unibridge will get caught in the tread gears. If you have a newer Hayward drain, I would not recommend this product until the Unibridge is redesigned.Read full review

Pool Drain cover

Problem solver, but shop around

The only off the shelf way to allow my Kreepy Krawly to travel around the pool without getting hung up on the drain cover. Good value at 60-65 dollars . The rubber degrades from pool chemicals after about 2.5-3 years this was my 4th purchase of this item.Read full review

Why didnt I buy this sooner?

Love this product from the moment I put it in the pool..my Aquabot would always get stuck on the main drain and wouldnt clean the whole pool..now it goes over it effortlessly and my pool has never been cleaner!! Highly recommend this if you have the same problem as I had.Read full review

Pool drain cover

It is the real name brand replacement for my main drain of the deep end of pool. It stops the automatic vacuum from getting stuck when cleaning. My only wish is that the plastic would hold up better and last longer than it does after spending its time in the chlorinated water. Read full review

Good concept but Not a great product

The idea is good, that the automatic vacuum will go
Over it easier and not get stuck. However, they could have done better. First, it should be heavier so it actually stays where it is supposed to be. If you are swimming, it will move just with the water movement. Second, it should not be four pieces, the snap mechanism comes off easily.Read full review
