From American Revolution to Life in England

The series develops over five seasons. We have watched the first four seasons and have the fifth season on order. It is very well acted and the characters are complex individuals. I enjoyed the way the story begins in America near the end of the American Revolution and then transitions to England. There are unexpected twists and turns in many subplots throughout the story. The fourth season was purchased on EBay as a pre-owned DVD set, and one of the episodes had three short "skips" (probably due to careless use and a scratch on the disc by the original owner). Poldark is magnificent!

Spectacular storyline, scenery, acting, romance, action, heroism, and more all without a single swear word! Imagine that! This is the BEST thing ever to watch, everything about it is sensational! Historical fiction puts you there on Cornish soil in early 18th century. Not a boring moment, you will laugh and cry. And have to watch every season more than once. Extraordinary! Wonderful! Superbly done from dialogue, costumes, sets, the horses, to everything. Fabulous.

I appreciate the Poldark series on PBS - with all that I had to do I did not get to see all the season! Also I needed to see most of the series again for its fine acting and the scenery of the coastline. My family is from the area or at least in the middle of the country.
