Very good prodict
I purchase this unit as the current Hozelock system I had was struggling to clear my stocked 3500 litre pond. With both in tandem the pond cleared within a week and is keeping clear. the Pondtec set was very easy to set up and I had it working within an hour, including burying the filter unit. Supplier excellent. Product: Jury's out.
The product did not work properly to begin with. The fault was traced down to a faulty ballast unit which meant that the UV light did not work. The supplier was brilliant and talked me through a couple of checks which all pointed towards the ballast which they replaced very quickly. The product itself is good, the pipes are plenty long enough and the wires are ample. Our pond is quite murky and as yet the filter is not really having too much of an impact after 5 days. Probably not reflective of the filter yet though. The "quick filter clean" mode does not really work for me and just makes the filter system eject silt back into the pond. The next step is to bury the filter unit as suggested, once it is though, it will not be easy to clean out.Read full review

the convenience of the non leak, pressure filter is good, the quick clean function is also useful., What I am not happy about is the way the pump housing and pump, clog up very quickly, I am having to clear it every other day. Good Quality Product
Have only just started using it but so far very pleased with it. The only criticism I would make is that the jubilee clips are not ideal for the hose supplied. The hose is reinforced and therefore I would have thought that twin wire jubilee clips would have been better as I really did have to tighten the jubilee clips extremely tightly in order to stop the water slowly seeping out.
