Awesome bit of kit
This is a air cooler so do not expect it to perform as well as airconditining units But that said it really is a great performing cooler, just fan only mode is effective enough on most days however when it get hotter you can fill the tray with water, i use water that ive chilled in the fridge in empty pop bottles and top up the rest from the tap, then i put plenty of ice cubes directly into the water and also a ice pack into the space provided and then switch the machine onto cool mode, this has been enough to keep me comfatable during the last few weeks of 30 degree celcius tempreatures, you have to point the coolers airflow at the people you wish to cool as it is very effective at cooling people directly but not at cooling the room itself like aircon does, during the heatwave i was suffering badly until i put this cooler on it really did save me, during the day a could do things around the house and stay cool at at night i could sleep well soley due to the aircooler keeping me cool and comfatable. It is a little bit of effort keeping water in the fridge and ice cubes in the freezer etc but this level is only needed on the hottest days e.g 30c. On a normal hot day it is more than enough to add water straight from the tap and throw a few ice cubes in for good measure. It is very well made and looks very smart indeed, its on castor wheels so it can be moved with ease and it also has carry handles, the remote means you dont have to leave your seat to operate it and it has a "vane" button which automates the rear slats to move from left to right directing the airflow around the room if reqd, it even has a setting to clean the impurities from the air as its working. There is no need to run a exhaust pipe out of a window etc as you have to with aircon and its very very cheap to run whereas aircon eats through electricity, its a great item and many many many times better than a ordinary room fan, why be uncomfatable and hot when you dont have to! It works!
If, like me, you don't feel like spending upwards of £500 on a free standing aircon unit, you should try one of these. Fill with water and ice, set to cool and the difference is plain. I use it in my master bedroom and the last couple of weeks it has made the room so much cooler and so much better for getting a good nights sleep I don't know how I survived before.
