Works great
I have used this vertical leg press for over a month now and it works great. Anyone who is considering buying this instead of an incline leg press I can tell you it works about the same the only difference I have noticed is that you only need about half the weight to get the same amount of exercise as an incline leg press and the vertical leg press is more like doing a traditional squat. The only drawback is that it can be difficult to put together.Read full review

Flawed, but considering the price, it's pretty decent.
My main problem with this machine is that the provided pins simply don't fit, so I had to improvise with something else. Even then, it's very awkward to remove and replace them during use.
The movement of the weight platform is also a bit rough and uneven, and the headrest could have been better positioned or adjustable. At least the assembly wasn't too bad.
Even with these issues, it's acceptable for how inexpensive it was.Read full review

Works as advertized
As long as you realize that you are buying an inexpensive home leg press, it is a good value. It works and feels safe.
Responding to criticisms in other reviews: Make sure to set up on a leveled surface or shim base to level. Leave bolts slightly loose until on final position and final tightening. Squeaking stops if you get lubricant down into the lower bushings on the tubes. If headrest feels too far away, you can reposition it closer, using only one hold down bolt. Since it is just a headrest it will be plenty sturdy with just one bolt. You could even custom drill position holes if you needed to. Safety pins are a bit of an inconvenience, but work fine. That's the price you pay for inexpensive.
I am 5'8 with long legs an I have plenty of extra motion capability in both directions. Totally satisfied with purchase; although if I get a spare $2500 I would upgrade to a horizontal leverage leg press. Read full review

Great product
Love my Powerline Leg Press machine. Does everything I need. Easy to assemble and works very smoothly. Easy to use. For the price, I thought I was getting something made cheaply, not the case. It's very sturdy and easy to use. I'd recommend it to anyone. Very satisfiedRead full review

Quality Product
It took about 1 hour to put together, make sure you have all your tools handy. It's very comfortable to use, no stress on the neck as with doing squats. I purchase the olympic sleeve adaptors for stability when using with my olympic plates but so far it sees like a great purchase. Vertical also takes up less space. Go for it.Read full review

A very well built product
This vertical leg press is a very well built product. I have no fears of it ever tipping over or collapsing. The back & head rest are well placed and provide plenty of support. The assembly went pretty smooth but when I was doing the pre-assembly check of all the parts it appeared that the side bars and end caps were missing. So I called to report the problem and they were very helpful and said the parts would be sent out the next business day. But as started to do the assembly, I found the side bars already inserted in the side frames and the missing end caps inserted in the foot caps. So I called back to cancel the order. So that part of the instructions need to be corrected. But the reason I took one star off the rating is that as you raised and lowered the leg press, the side bars made a very loud screeching sound. I almost sent it back due to the noise but some other customer comments said to try silicone grease which I ordered on Amazon and that did the trick. Seems like this problem could be fixed at the factory perhaps with some sort of plastic collars that could guide the side bars up and down. Read full review

Space saver
I have only used the leg press for a few weeks now, and I really like it! Very comfortable too! It don't take up very much space either. I have had well over 200lbs. on it and it done fine! As far as the noise of it sliding, I have read, I just used silicone grease! It is also great for doing calf raises too!Read full review

A functional space-saver
On the positive, this machine is functional, does not take much space, and costs far less than most leg press machines. My only issue is that it is VERY noisy. I keep putting white grease on the tubes to keep it from squealing. Read full review

Wish I'd have bought it sooner!
Easy to assemble, easy to use, works far better than I anticipated! Sprayed a little aerosol silicone on the vertical supports and mine makes zero noise when being raised up and down no matter how much, or how little, weight is on the bar. Excellent +++ product for the home gym!Read full review
