Procol Harum are a great and very much underrated band. They are, of course, best known for their big gothic hit "A Whiter Shade of Pale" but that isn't really typical of their output. Their songs range from 20 minute long prog masterpieces to blue eyed blues.

As these are just the original albums there are no bonus tracks on them, which means no "Whiter Shade" as it wasn't included on the first album. It was often the case in the 1960s that singles did not appear on albums. However, you do get "A Salty Dog" which is their absolute masterpiece and loads of other top tunes.Read full review
