Has Design Flaws and slippery bottom

This can opener has design flaws, it doesn't have any rubber at the base or any way to secure the base to a counter. When trying to use it, it is somewhat awkward to get the can in place because the magnetic piece that holds the can lid once cut is a flip type part so if you don't get the can in place on the first try then it flip away then you have to put it back to the horizontal position again before trying to place the can again, all this while trying to hold the can opener in place due to no rubber at the base which is sliding on the counter. Also if you have to open a large can then you must hold the can opener so that it doesn't tip over from the size and weight of the can. Its poorly designed and if I had another choice at this price range I would not buy this one again.Read full review

Careful packing the cord

The product is fine add I knew it would be by the name. I trust Procter Silex and as long as I don't buy it at Walmart, I didn't think twice about it. It came with the cord too tightly wound up and stuck in the cord holder in the back of opener by the prongs which hurt my arthritic fingers trying to get that out.Read full review

This a a basic can opener which can handle taller cans. It also sharpens knives on the
back of appliance. This is my second can opener from Proctor-Silex . This product
does the job and opens cans neatly and safely. Supporting the taller cans with you hand
underneath and positioning the cans on the edge of the counter will assist you in opening

Looks good but defective

The can opener looks good, but mine was defective. It kept getting caught on the lid and made jagged cuts instead of smooth ones all around the lid. Very big cut hazard. I had to return it.

It's ok it could be better. But you just got to get the can just right for it to work right. I do have some trouble but it will open the can bitter than the hand can opener.
