Do NOT buy

I bought two cans of K2 expecting it to be really good quality and actually unblock the DPF on my 2009 Ford Focus 1.6 Tdci Econetic with 210,000 miles on the clock. It’s only had a DPF problem since last month so I didn’t think it was seriously blocked, but prior to buying K2, I’d previously used some Wurth DPF spray, it seems to work but I didn’t take the car for a long enough drive afterwards. So when I came to use the K2 I shook the cans before spraying them into the DPF bug both cans are still half full! as I can’t get any more out of them! it seems as if there isn’t enough propellant to empty all of the contents, I think that is the biggest problem with K2, so after taking the car for a 30 mile drive I plugged in my scanner tool and it said the DPF was still blocked. I would avoid K2. Read full review...

Excellent

After my DPF light coming on continuously I had it treated by a local garage with a similar technique. After one week it came back on again. So I was recommended to try this product. So far, after three months and the light has still not come on again. Worked a treat.Read full review...

Excellent DPF cleaner.

I was a bit sceptical at first, but the product did its job perfectly. Ive been told that the car now runs as it should, so what else can I say ?. Would definitely recommend it.

Excellent product. I used this product to clean a catalytic converter, and it has done a great job. Performance, economy and engine responsiveness was hugely improved.

Did what it claims to do

DPF on my sons VW Golf was choked up with soot, no amount of motorway thrashing would clear it. Used the K2 DPF cleaner as recommended by injecting it via the DPF sensor hole, took it for a motorway thrash, DPF light disappeared after about 20 mins, brilliant stuff.Read full review...

Worth trying before going to the specialist

Great product if you can access to spray into DPF properly from a hole for one of the sensor or remove from turbo etc. Really worth trying when DPF is too clogged and no (manual or forced) regen is possible (blockage is like more than 60-70%). My DPF on Audi A4 TDI was completely blocked and forced regen couldn't be started. After using a full tin of the cleaner and driving 30mins or so, somehow the blockage went down to around 50% and we managed to start a forced regen (by VCDS). It cleaned out the DPF completely then. I used another tin later, trying to clean out more. Now my DPF seems to be back to normal. Auto regen starts when the blockage reached 40-45%. You need to cure the cause of the blockage first, though. My case was due to the wrong spec of the engine oil sold by EC Parts... (took so long to figure it out). Drained all the oil, cleaned the egr and manifold and put the oil for VAG engine. Now my car is fine!Read full review...
