Profloss 4190 Waterflosser Review

This is a simple, easy-to-use product that really does a good job cleaning between teeth and the gum line. It just uses water from the sink faucet to operate. It has a regulator to control the water pressure, and you can adjust the temperature of the water by using the cold and hot water controls on the faucet. There are no batteries to mess with, no electrical power plug, no reservoir to fill/empty/clean out, no heater, and it doesn't take up countertop space. It does a better job than string floss. When I think I've done a really good job brushing, I'm always amazed how many food particles are washed out when I use this thing. The price is great, too. I've bought several as Christmas gifts for family.Read full review

Great Pressure - But Design Flaw

I really love the high pressure flow from the nozzle. I feel like it gets my gums and in between my teeth very clean. It does, however, have a pretty big design flaw. It is very hard to fill. I waste so much water in the process of filling it because the inside opening into the reservoir is very small. It takes a long time to fill and overflows without water getting into the reservoir. I use a funnel, but this is still a difficult and water-wasting endeavor. I am willing to put up with it because of the high pressure nozzle, though.Read full review

Very good

This oral irrigator works great, stays charged for multiple uses, and has a powerful stream. The only thing I wish was different is the water reservoir. If it were larger, time can be saved from refilling it several times. But who wants it to be even bulkier than what it is....
Besides that it's perfect so far.

Profloss 4190 Waterflosser

I really like this flosser. It has a powerful stream. I suppose you could turn the pressure up high enough to cut your gums if that is what you desire to do. The only thing that could be a problem is the quick release attachment that goes on the faucet. I can see where it would eventually wear down and leak. If there are replacements, then all is great.Read full review

Needs on/off Valve

The stream adjustment is Not necessary... Change the Stream adjustment to a push on,, Release off valve and the unit would be Much easier and Cleaner to use. Having to rely on Human memory for turning off the water stream is NOT Ergonomic.. And Messy. Pressure can be adjusted by the on off valves on the Sink Spicket.Read full review

Doesn't hold enough water!!

Works OK but doesn't hold enough liquid. The older now unavailable much cheaper model was a better buy. Four stars is probably too good a rating.

Water flosser

I love this thing. It works great around my bridges. I use it several times per day. It is easy to connect and disconnect. I like it better than a friend's expensive Waterpik flosser. I bought another one for my son since I enjoy mine and hate normal flossing. I recommended it to my dentist as a great value for his patients.Read full review

Water floss

This small device is really helpful to clean your gums and between teeth after taking food. You will have to replace your facet's aerator with that one going in package with irrigator. Attach irrigator to the facet every time you need to use it. Don't know how long it will stand though, but overall it's a very good product because it uses running water and no electricity.Read full review

super deal

My granddaughter tried to waterboard herself until she got the water pressure correct. It works great with her braces. I would like to a second unit since everyone wants to use it.

Great value for the cost; easy to use and effective.

Love the 3 levels (pulsating, soft and normal) of choices in water emission.
