I used this last night and it took me an hour and a half to do 16 rings that had zero gap and had to go to .018" and .020" It takes off about .001" per revolution. You have to sneak up on it because once you grind it away, you cant put it back. Very easy to use, I screwed it down to a block of wood for stability.
